Israel Aerospace Industries, acting through its Groups and Divisions, is committed to provide quality products and services to its customers. Therefore, IAI Quality Assurance policy requires assurance at all times of satisfactory product quality, airworthiness legislation (as required by Civil Aviation Authorities) and customers' contractual requirements. As high share of Israel Aerospace Industries' (IAI) activity is accomplished through acquisition of materials and products from a myriad of suppliers and subcontractors in numerous areas of activity and technological proficiency, it necessitates that our suppliers demonstrate compliance with IAI Quality Assurance requirements.
IAI will approve its suppliers in a process based upon the international standards recognized by majority of the Aerospace, Defense and Space industries and Aviation authorities, e.g. AS9000/9100, EN9100, and ISO 9001.
The approval of IAI suppliers is guided and coordinated by Corporate Procurement and Logistics organization, with the assistance of Inter-Group Steering Committee for suppliers auditing and certification.
A certified auditor acting on behalf of the Steering Committee will accomplish the supplier's Quality Management System auditing for all IAI divisions.
In some cases, a specific product/technology or special process audit is required. Then, the applicable division certified auditor would survey the supplier.
