INSTRUMENTAL ENRICHMENT (IE)
Created by Prof. Feuerstein, Instrumental Enrichment (IE) is designed to further the development of higher mental processes and learning strategies. IE generates a change in the cognitive structure of individuals through mediated learning experiences. It involves abstract, content-free, organizational, spatial, temporal, and perceptual processes that engage a wide range of mental operations. The IE program increases an individual's ability to adapt to varying situations and activates his/her internal impetus to grow and develop.
