Bedek Aviation Group - World Leader in the Conversion Field.

For more than two decades aircraft conversion is a major business at Bedek Aviation Group.

Bedek Senior Management decision to enter this field derived from the growing demand for freighters (more than 6% annually), and the skilled manpower, including experienced technicians and engineers within the group.

After gaining experience in converting passenger aircraft-to-freighters (such as B707s, B727s), Bedek moved to the next step - in-house development and certification of B747 -100 and -200 conversions. The 747-200 specifically was a success, which marked Bedek as a world leader in the conversion field. 

Despite the aviation down-time in the new millennium, Bedek management strategy was to invest in developing new conversion programs. The most recent major lines of conversion products at Bedek are:

• 737-300BDSF (Bedek Special Freighter) and BDQC (Bedek Quick Change) -
  certified in 2003
• 737-400BDSF (Bedek Special Freighter) certified in 2009
• 767-200BDSF - certified in 2003
• 747-400BDSF - FAA STC from Combi to BDSF and PAX to BDSF were received in 2006.
• 767-300BDSF - certified at the end of 2009

Bedek conversions have received STC (Supplemental Type Certificate) from the leading aviation authorities - FAA, EASA and others. Since the modifications these freighters have accumulated over 2.0 million flying hours with no ADs issued (relating to Bedek's conversion).

In order to ensure the highest possible quality and to gain OEM-level expertise, Bedek Aviation Group made a strategic decision to specialize in the conversion of Boeing aircraft.   Our ability to provide OEM-quality conversion services within this vertical marketplace stems directly from this decision.

Bedek Aviation's view of the new highly-competitive conversion marketplace is that aircraft owners and operators are now able to select from among top quality providers at extremely competitive prices, and have the added benefit of improved scheduling from two aspects: the new STC capability itself, and shorter turn-around-times.  

From the standpoint of all parties involved, this is a classic "Win-Win" scenario.
